Again, Synthetic Stucco is the subject of a class action lawsuit. At the time of final settlement, responsibility will probably be determined. Attorneys for the "Class" are suing the manufacturer for poor design, etc.

Please be aware that an inspection today will not guarantee that future problems will not occur. Moisture, mildew, and insect damage occur quickly under the right circumstances, and it will not be possible to know if damage is old or relatively new.

In response to the negative publicity, manufacturers are introducing new system designs that allow for water drainage. The installation of these systems also must adhere to specific protocols and should be inspected to confirm installation protocols were followed. The long-term performance of drainable EIFS is yet to be determined.
